Jim retired from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company in December 2004 as Supplier Diversity Senior Manager and formed Small Biz Advocate.  As a small
business mentor and coach, Jim and his team do two things:  1) help small businesses sell to the prime contractors and  2) help large businesses develop,
implement and sustain 'World Class' Supplier Diversity Programs.  Both entrepreneurs and Small Business Liaison Officers '
Hit the Ground Running' everyday.

To help his clients achieve their goals, Jim developed
21 Steps to Prime Time' and ’21 Steps to World Class Supplier Diversity’.  His experience includes over
38 years in corporate, educational and entrepreneurial environments with emphasis on supplier diversity program management, education, training, strategic
planning, marketing, business development, supplier and customer relations, supply chain management, sourcing, supplier development, team building,
communication, and customer satisfaction.

Jim worked for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company for 22 years where he managed a team of ten people and was responsible for the overall success of the
Aeronautics Company Supplier Diversity Program (Fort Worth, TX, Palmdale, CA and Marietta, GA). The Program earned ‘Highly Successful’ ratings from the
Small Business Administration and the Defense Contract Management Agency every year from 1997–2004.  Before joining Lockheed in 1983, Jim taught
marketing education and business courses to high school juniors and seniors and worked for Dun & Bradstreet in sales.

His formal education includes an Education Specialist degree in Vocational and Career Development from Georgia State University, a Master’s degree in
Education Administration and Supervision from West Georgia College, a Teaching Certificate from The University of Georgia, and a Bachelor of Science degree
in Marketing Management from The University of Alabama.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and has written numerous articles for the Fort Worth
Business Press.

Jim is married, has two children and two grandchildren and lives in Granbury, TX.
